Why Gloves Wear Out Fast

Batting gloves absorb sweat, friction, and repeated ball impact every session. Without care, the leather dries and cracks, the palm stitching splits, and the padding compresses. Most gloves last one season — but they can last three with the right routine.

After Every Session

• Air them out completely — never pack sweaty gloves straight into your bag
• Wipe the palm area with a slightly damp cloth to remove salt residue
• Store in an open, ventilated space or hang them

Monthly Maintenance

• Condition leather palms with a small amount of leather conditioner or raw linseed
• Check finger stitching along the seams — early re-stitching prevents full unravelling
